LEGO Minifigures Online Has Goth Girl And Hotdog Man, I’m SOLD!

The team behind LEGO Minifigures Online went back to the drawing board and found out that maybe free to play with weird microtransactions was not the way to go for a LEGO game. So here we are, a video game with a one time fee, imagine that! Now the game is still broken up on iOS and Android, makes sense, people would freak out with a $29.99 game showing up on either store but PC, Linux and Mac players will get the complete game for $29.99 while mobile players buy into the first level for $4.99 for the first world and $3.99 for each additional, makes me sad that there still isn’t some kind of cross-buy for PC/Mac and Android/iOS.

Onto the good stuff, did you watch the trailer for LEGO Minifigures Online, watch the trailer above! There’s all kinds of lands to walk around like pirate world, dino land along with smashing bad guys with your special power! But the real goodness comes from what minifigures you can play as and if you took a second to read the title of this article you’ll notice I’ve already picked out my two. Now we do get some nice footage of Goth Girl and her freaky spider ability which looks like it could be a blast, no sure if they’ll let me wrap up my victims and suck their blood Killer Klowns from Outer Space style but a guy can dream. However, what’s up with not giving me any footage of Hotdog Man? A guy in a Hotdog Suit has to have some kind of crazy super powers right? I’m hoping he has something like infinite ketchup and mustard each in their own pressurized squeeze bottle, the ability to drop onions on enemies to make them cry and dazed with tears in their eyes, what about a hotdog cart to ride around on and heal your party members with a delicious hotdog and soda? LEGO Minifigures Online is out now, there’s even mention of cross play between tablets and PC’s but I’m wondering how that pay per land business on mobile is going to work out. Be sure to check out a review or two is you are looking to play this game everywhere to see how much you’ll need to pay in the end.
