Sony has got the ball really rolling quick on Zombie apocalypse MMO H1Z1 and are already showing off a bit of gameplay. Now there’s nothing here that’s ZOMG AMAZEBALLS but it looks technically competent with working vehicles, decent zombie run animations and fire? Holy Shit! Doesn’t everyone know fire plus zombies is a bad equation?
Anyway for the purists among us, yes that’s me too, it sucks we have running zombies but with Sony touting the desire to run multiple servers with different rule sets maybe we can get a H1Z1 Night of the Living Dead rule server with no runners.
Speaking of Night of the Living Dead the field scene shown off in the trailer looks like it could have been ripped straight from Dawn of the Dead. Like Alien: Isolation, I’m trying to keep my excitement in check for H1Z1 because there’s just so much that can go wrong.
One really good news spreading around reddit seems to be talk about releasing H1Z1 via Steam Early Access for only $20, which I can totally get behind. If DayZ has taught developers anything it’s a decently pitched Early Access Game can make you buckets of money for better or for worse.
