One Month After Launch Path of Exile (PC) Is Still Going Strong

Free to Play Path of Exile took the big step out of beta and into release last month and so far it seems to be paying off really well. While the numbers were definitely good for this loot-a-thon prior to release, after release a surge of 1.5 million players entered the game. Since the game is free to play that means there are paid goods to keep the game afloat and so far they look like the right kind of free to playness.

Gamer’s don’t have to pay anything to play Path of Exile but should they choose to part with some real money there are a few ways developer Grinding Gear Games has come up with for all price points. First is just generic money to point transactions, starting at $5 you’ll buy what you think you need to pick out some pets, animations, alternate skill effects and weapon and armor effects. Finally if you’re feeling really generous you can get down with some Supporter Packs that start at $50 where you’ll be getting what else, exclusive digital goods. You can check out all the digital goodness here or just head on over to PathofExile.com and sign up to play for free right now.
