Latest Razer Comms (PC) Update Brings File Transfer

Razer who is know for some very fine PC gaming peripherals, namely mice and keyboards, has been slowly branching out into the software side of things with their Razer Surround, Razer Game Booster and Razer Comms applications. Each targeting a specific need for the always performance hungry PC Gamer. Today Razer updated their free voice communication software Razer Comms.

Razer Comms was recently updated after a community poll by Razer and now contains the ability to allow file transfers between users. This wasn’t the only thing Razer changed as they also beefed up their server infrastructure so users should now have less latency and improved audio quality. Of course no update would be complete without some kicking of the tires as Razer has tweaked and updated over 60 different features and settings since launch. Standouts include improved noise suppression, echo cancellation and voice volume normalization all which give you the gamer a better experience. All around this should be a great update to an already awesome priced piece of software, did we mention it’s free, can’t beat free right?

Razer is not done yet either as the poll continues so if you want to see a Live-Stream Viewer, Image-Sharing, emoticons, faster overlays, an android app or anything else you can come up with, head on over and vote. The bottom line is if you’ve tried TeamSpeak, Ventrillo or just end up using Skype for gaming with your buddies head on over and check out Razer Comms it might just become you’re new go to game night VoIP software of choice.
