We’ve been dying to review RAGE on PC, it’s sitting here staring at me on my desk but with all the craziness surrounding the launch I decided to take a peak and then wait and make sure I was getting the full experience. When I saw that RAGE had recieved an update on Steam I got myself ready to dive in; only to find out now it won’t launch past the opening movies, prior to the patch it did work. However maybe you are or will be one of the people the patch will helped fix a problem for, there is quite a list of things tweaked and added to the graphics menu like a VSync option, the ability to set the texture cache size, ability to set Anisotropic filtering, +com_safemode 1 command line option in case you screw something up in the video settings, +vt_maxAniso 1 command line option to fix the “grid lines” during playback with AMD/ATI Graphics cards and +jobs_numThreads 0 command-line option useful for dual-core systems running AMD/ATI graphics cards to fix some performance issues.
