That’s right, the classic turn-based strategy of Warhammer 40,000 is deploying on Steam with Warhammer 40,000: Regicide. The Warhammer series has seem something of a digital renaissance lately with a ton of games across multiple genres being released in a short amount of time so if turned-based strategy isn’t your gig there are other games that might get your chainsaw roaring.
Warhammer 40,000: Regicide isn’t just a straight board to digital conversion as it has some interesting modes to shake things up. The titular Regicide Mode has two phases of combat with tactical abilities at your disposal and includes both a single and multiplayer component. Classic Mode is Battle Chess in the bloody Warhammer 40,000 universe and is touted as having fully cross-platform multiplayer with the forthcoming Android release. Like any good chess type game you can also play multiple asynchronous games simultaneously, there are online leaderboards to show off your badass skills to the world and 50 fully narrated single-player campaign missions when you want some story to go with all that carnage. Warhammer 40,000: Regicide is on Steam for $14.99 but pick it up before September 15th 2015 and you’ll save 15%.

After months of meticulous production, and integrating features requested by fans, Regicide is moving out of Early Access into full release. The full game includes new factions for Space Marines and Orks, Acts II and III of the epic campaign: The Angels of Death, written by author Ross Watson – and a veritable bombardment of new gameplay features, enhancements and refinements!
