It’s what you’ve been waiting for, the Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Beta! Grab your gear because PlayStation 4 gamers will hit that future battlefield on August 19th 2015 while Xbox One and PC gamers will be deploying out on August 26th 2015. It’s interesting that only the current gen consoles PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC get a beta while last gen’s PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 are excluded altogether, at least they are coming out all on the same day as of this press release. The only way I see to get in the beta is to pre-order the game from participating retailers, if you find another way let us know in the comments below.
PlayStation 4 gamers get access to 3 maps, Hunted, Combine and Evac with Team Deathmatch, Domination, Kill Confirmed, Hardpoint, Capture the Flag and Search & Destroy game modes available. There’s also 8 default Specialists available for you to rank up, each with their own weapons and abilities. Finally there’s the Weapon Paintshop where you can add up to 64 layers to three sides of your weapon for the ultimate battle swag.

The start of the highly-anticipated Call of Duty®: Black Ops III multiplayer beta is quickly approaching. As fans gear up to head into battle starting next week on PS4, Treyarch and Activision have released new information regarding the content that will be available in the beta, including maps, modes, Specialists and more.
