We told you about Warside a while ago and now it’s finally here on Steam Early Access. That means you’ll get a taste of all the laser beams, running, gunning and shield action. You might think this means it’s a third person cover shooter but NO it’s a multiplayer side scrolling action game with PvP, PvE, some RPG elements and laser beams. Did we mention laser beams before because this trailer looks like every damn storm trooper scene from A New Hope jammed into a minute and thirty seconds. There’s also these bubble shields that seem to light up whenever you’re dude is taking damage which I think is a neat effect that way he doesn’t look like he’s running inside of a damn hamster ball the whole time.
If you hate all the PvP noise Kraken Games has you covered with PvE co-op and boss battles, they even threw in a spider tank boss looking thing so it seems they know their audience well. From the infodump they sent along it seems they are releasing the game for $9.99 with a bunch of extra digital tiers that go up to $64.99 that add stuff like Art Books, a Soundtrack and in-game currency so you can buy items from their store. I’m curious to see just what you can purchase with money and what needs to be purchased with blood, sweat and laser beams. We’ll know pretty soon as Warside is dropping today!
