Total War: ATTILA (PC) Rides That Horse In Latest Trailer

Total War: Attila looks like it’s definitely carrying the torch of the Total War series just fine. I mean just look at this in-game engine footage they were able to use to make the trailer. According to the press release there’s going to be new features like disloyal generals, fragmented food supplies and keeping their armies in line.

How to you prevent dissension in the ranks you can use Decimation and slaughter a tenth of an army to show those pesky troops they better keep in line or else! Well that’s an interesting tactic, lose a tenth of your troops but the rest will shape up real quick. Amazon has the download only version of Total War: Attila pegged for Feb. 17th 2015 at $44.99, not full priced but not budged priced either. I would like to see this trend continue with digital copies of games, we’re not getting boxes, discs or manuals so save us some money will ya!

PRESS RELEASE

The Red Horse of War Rides in New Cinematic Trailer for Total War: ATTILA

As the old power of Rome starts to crumble, there is opportunity in being the aggressor for those who seek it. In this latest cinematic trailer from Total War: ATTILA, which you can watch here: http://youtu.be/KsfYAP3ZxX4, we see the Sassanid Empire exploiting the confusion around it and striking out in war on its neighbours.

The game itself will contain a number of new features around army management and waging war to bring further depth to this key aspect of the Total War experience. Most notably, players will have to consider the very real risks of keeping their armies in line against mounting losses, disloyal generals and fragmented food supplies.

A rogue commander can entice other wavering characters to mutiny, one of the triggers at play in the rich, new civil war system. Dark times call for dark measures, and amongst a variety of tactics players can employ to reduce the risk of such division, the brutal Roman practice of ‘Decimation’ (the systematic slaughtering of a tenth of an army) will restore temporary order at a high price.
