Latest Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster Trailer Shows Off New Features

Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster is quickly heading to North America and Square Enix has pumped out a new trailer for us showing off some of the new features in-store for nostalgic gamer’s.

Of course right off the bat they are going to show the enhanced visuals of the HD Remaster, it’s right there in the name folks. No HD Remaster would be complete without some graphical enhancement so with that out of the way what’s left?

New background music is up next, this may or may not piss gamer’s off but it’s nice to see Square Enix give it a go even if OC Remix has been doing this forever. Then there’s trophies, we all love trophies and achievements, to bad you can’t import your old original saves and unlock some from the get go.

For the gamer on the go there’s cross save compatibility with the PS Vita, always a nice feature to have. We really wish more games would just go Cross-Buy for $10 more but that seems like a pipe dream at this point. The addition of the audio drama with concept art is one of the new things I want included more with HD Remasters. Give us background info, cut concepts, interviews and stories these are the kinds of things that are really help push HD Remasters into double dip territory for previous players.

Square Enix is also promising over 20 hours of additional content that was cut from the North American version but included in the International Edition. For you PS Vita players remember the 2-in-1 retail back includes Final Fantasy X HD Remastered on the game card while Final Fantasy X-2 HD Remastered will be a required download, so be sure to clear off some space before the March 18th 2014 release date.
