Evolve the latest video game from Turtle Rock studios who made the blockbuster that is Left 4 Dead have been drip feeding the press info. Their latest game isn’t straying from their Left 4 Dead roots and we already know it is going to be a cooperative shooter. This time however a group of four players will hunt a single and very powerful alien beast known as the Goliath.
So Evolve is a mix of Left 4 Dead versus mode but the single monster is like a Tank with more abilities, I like it. It is always fun during versus to mess with your friends, taunt them right before springing your ultimate trap that sees their planning go to shit. However while we still know very little today 2k and Turtle Rock have already announced pre-order bonuses, seriously?
Usually we get these at the tail end of a media blitz, after all the video, screenshots and news stories the DLC is tacked on to get you to Best Buy, Amazon, Game, Gamestop and the like. The worst part is when you end up liking the cool thing on the country you aren’t in when it’s a figure or statue. So today’s big Evolve story isn’t a 15 minute gameplay video, a batch of really sweet screenshots or even a beta announcement it’s that if you pre-order now you’ll get the Monster Expansion Pack, yay!

Evolve will be available this autumn for Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, and Windows PC.
Evolve expertly blends cooperative and competitive multiplayer experiences as a team of four hunters face off against a single, player-controlled monster. Set on an alien planet in the distant future, gamers hunt their prey in adrenaline-pumping 4V1 matches. Players experience Evolve as a first-person shooter when playing cooperatively as the four hunters, while they control the monster in the third-person perspective, providing a gameplay experience unique to Evolve.
