Ubisoft Ditches Online Pass For Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag

Ubisoft has dropped an 11th hour bombshell on gamer’s and this time it is good news for everyone. While Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag will include a UPlay Passport code inside the box when purchased new they’ll be no need to enter it. Edward’s Fleet, the companion app and even the Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag multiplayer is all included at no additional cost if you buy the game new or used. All you’ll need to do is head to your console’s store and download the UPlay Passport for Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag for free and you’re golden.

It’s interesting to see a company change something even at the last minute and have it benefit consumer’s rather than be another thing that makes us shake our heads in shame. We’re going to guess this also includes the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One counterparts and who knows maybe they won’t even ship with UPlay Passport codes in the box. Now we can finally get back to more gaming and less time worrying about whether we can get online or not thanks to a stupid code gate.
