Woof, Woof Call Of Duty: Ghosts Squads Trailer Drops

What’s this, squads in Call of Duty: Ghosts? Hang on, I think you spilled some of your Battlefield into my Call of Duty or did you spill some Call of Duty into my Battlefield? What is this some kind of bizzaro world, what the hell will the fan boys fight over now? Calm down Billy, all is not lost, there’s a lot more deviation to just throwing squads in Call of Duty and calling it a day and it tastes pretty good too, almost like strawberry jam.

Squads in Call of Duty: Ghosts has specific modes that are a mix of humans vs humans and humans vs bots. I’m sure this is how we form Skynet as it uses the millions of data points from Call of Duty to no scope all of us. Anyway, with squads you can use your XP to outfit and customize your AI squad and give each AI member a unique loadout which dictates their function on the battlefield. The modes you can use these new Cyberdyne T-800 replicas in are Wargame, Squad vs Squad, Safeguard and Squad Assault.

Lets dig into the modes, in Wargame it’s you, your friends or you and a mix of your friends and AI buddies vs AI enemies. In Squad Assault it’s you and five friends vs other Call of Duty players bad ass AI recruits, we can see this becoming hotly debated when people make OP bot teams and the humans cry fowl. This is especially true as if your AI squad is fighting someone in Squad Assault you earn XP for how well your team does. That’s right passive XP is here in Call of Duty: Ghosts. In Squad vs Squad it’s you and your AI buddies vs another human; it’s like you’re the quarterback and the head coach in a game of life, death and grenade spam. Safegaurd is the more traditional horde mode, you and three friends square off against wave after wave of bad guys earning mucho XP.

Now, hopefully, the Battlefield and Call of Duty fanboy’s can see that there are still wars of words to be fought; who’s better, who’s a loser and who sucks more are the usual choices. There’s no mixing of squads and regular Call of Duty multiplayer so everything is nice and different, just like it’s suppose to be, no cross pollination of games that could break the fabric of the space time continuum. Call of Duty: Ghosts is coming to PC, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One November 5th 2013 and be sure to check out the trailer below for your COD Squad fix.
