Tragnarion Studios Takes You Behind The Scenes Of The Scourge: Outbreak Launch Day

What’s it like after years and years of development to finally release your indie video game into the world? Judging by the video from Tragnarion Studios who shot a short documentary during the launch day for their Xbox 360 game Scourge: Outbreak; it seems like something close to a family member having a new born child. There’s tears, hugs, cheers, good times, games and of course cake, got to have cake! Be sure to check out the heartwarming video after the jump below.

Being an indie games studio Tragnarion Studios takes feedback seriously. While they know this game might not be for everyone and have no delusions it’s some multi-billion dollar extravaganza they’ve already put out their first update based on fan feedback. There’s bug fixes, tweaks and also join in progress has been added based on the community’s feedback along with co-op mode and one PvP map available in the trail version to hopefully bolster the community with new members. So if you have not yet tried out Scourge: Outbreak now would be a great time to grab a buddy and give the trail version a play through to see if it’s your cup of tea.

Scourge: Outbreak developer, Tragnarion Studios, Opens its Doors for Documentary


Dan Bull documentary ties in with Patch Update and DLC announcement

Mallorca, Spain – September 23, 2013 – Publisher, UFO Interactive, in partnership with Tragnarion Studios, today announced that Tragnarion’s recently released Xbox LIVE Arcade title, Scourge: Outbreak, has received its first major update. Following feedback directly from the Scourge: Outbreakcommunity, Tragnarion Studios has patched and updated several areas of the game to ensure that players are provided with the best experience possible. The studio also confirmed that their first downloadable content (DLC) map pack is to be released soon.

To celebrate, YouTube personality, rapper and songwriter, Dan Bull has produced “Launch Day”, a short documentary focusing on the people at Tragnarion Studios and their reaction to the release of Scourge: Outbreak. The documentary can be viewed here:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4h8KNVyfetY/

Dan previously recorded a music video inspired by Scourge: Outbreak, prompting the studio to invite him over for a unique insight into the life of an indie.

Patch Information 

Addressing the community’s feedback, the new update includes:

  • Matchmaking now allows players to find and join games in progress, making it much easier to find matches online.
  • All weapon handling has been tweaked, fixing issues with recoil, stability, and spread.
  • Co-op mode is now enabled in Trial version.
  • One PvP map is now available in Trial version.
  • Several bug fixes

  • Premium Theme Pack: A dashboard theme pack with backgrounds and environmental objects based on various locations in Scourge: Outbreak.
  • Gamer Pic Pack: A collection of 10 Gamer Pics featuring Echo Squad, Alpha Squad, and several Nogari Soldiers.
