Rambo The Video Game Oils Up And Shoots Dudes In The Face

I’m not sure how you can mess up Rambo: The Video Game, he’s Rambo, synonymous with mowing down swaths of enemies using a machine gun and blowing up anything and everything with his explosive tipped arrows, that’s been first person and third person shooter DNA since forever. But this is about the real Rambo: The Video Game, licensed, bonded and insured with the digital likeness of one Italian Stallion Sylvester Stallone, oily at all times, tanned and beads of water glistening all over his body.

All the iconic moments from the films look represented, there’s the forest and deputies from First Blood, what looks like scenes from Rambo: First Blood Part II, the deserts of Rambo III and while not listed in press releases enemy soldiers are being blown to bits just like they did in the more recent Rambo from 2008. The one little complaint I have is John Rambo himself. While it looks like no expense was spared to get Rambo’s iconic and epic back muscles to bulge like no ones business when tying on his equally iconic red headband, the rest of him seems hollow. It’s like the fire in his eyes is lost and his body is just a weak shell of its once former glory.

This man was so full of fire he once rammed a tank at full speed into a helicopter to destroy it, instead of using the more tried and true method of shooting it. This was also a full 23 years before anyone else attempted anything equally as insane in Battlefield 3 so he deserves to modeled properly and shown the utmost respect that we rarely give our other action heroes. I’m hoping there’s a demo for this one so we can try it out because this it’s going to sink or swim pretty hard. However Rambo is always the underdog so I’m rooting for him to sink then blow up the ocean to show just how bad ass he is. Rambo: The Video Game is coming to PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 this winter so be sure to bulk up before then.
