Hardware: Shipbreakers (PC) Shows Off Gameplay Finally, Makes Me Eat My Words

Hardware: Shipbreakers by Blackbird Interactive looked good, real good, like insanely awesomely good but all that good looking imagery was all just concept art. On our last Weekly Gaming Recap I said “I will not show anymore trailers for Hardware: Shipbreakers until I see some damn gameplay footage”. Now Blackbird Interactive goes and shows us how the game looks with this teaser of some gameplay footage… damn it.

The opening scene looks just like the concept art, it even has the little dust trails that move where everything else stands still, then an interior shot of a vehicle with more small motion and finally the vehicle starts to move across the dusty landscape. After that it’s a series of land and air vehicles all with their own pathing, dust trailers and giant skeletons of crashed ships strewn across the landscape. Finally we get a nice pull back with a basic UI and some quick battle footage which means we’re getting closer and the game is real. Now that the game looks like the previously released concept art what do you guys think, were you hoping for something different, because this just makes my day! Be sure to check out the video below, it might make a believer out of you too.
