Assault Android Cactus Brings Twin Stick Fun To Steam Greenlight

Assault Android Cactus is on Steam Greenlight and is looking to bring some twin stick fun to the green side of Valve. As a Police Android you’ll use an arsenal of automatic weapons to cut down all manner of robotic foes. The benign freighter ship you’ve come to help is now assaulting you with every worker robot under its control. Fight through multiple levels and overwhelming robot foes to push through and finally teach the master robot A.I. brain a lesson. A first look at Assault Android Cactus, a high intensity twin stick shooter that focuses on heavy pressure and stylish action!

 

Brisbane, Australia – May 22nd, 2013 – Independent game developer Witch Beam is pleased to release a first look of their action/arcade shooter, Assault Android Cactus. The action packed multiplayer game boasts waves of robotic enemies, a deadly mix of artillery and high intensity score boosting combo chains! The game is currently on Steam Greenlight seeking votes to be released in the Summer of 2013 on Mac, PC and Linux.

The player takes on the role of Cactus, an enthusiastic police android, who responds to a stranded space freighter only to discover it under siege by its malfunctioning robot workers. Cut off from the outside and in over her head, Cactus and the androids she recruits along the way battle through the crippled Genki Star to reach the brain of the ship and put things right before it’s too late.

Key Features:

Multiple Playable Characters – Each android has a unique weapon set and play style, players can unlock and experiment to find which android suits them best.

Dynamic Levels – From lights out to shifting walls to giant flamethrowers, there are surprises on board the Genki Star that will keep players on their toes.

Overwhelming Odds – Push back against hordes of robots with quick reactions and clever weapon tactics.

Giant Robot Bosses – Challenge the guardian of each deck as they unleash bullet hell and stage covering special attacks.

Co-Op Play – Join in with two, three or four players and experience escalating chaos. Supports Keyboard/Mouse and Gamepad configurations.

“Assault Android Cactus puts a heavy amount of pressure on the player, whether they play alone or with friends, they’ll be swarmed by hordes of robot enemies.,” states 3D animator, Tim Dawson. “We wanted to create a feeling of being overwhelmed with a feeling of accomplishment after each wave.
