Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee – New ‘n’ Tasty is coming to PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PS Vita bringing the old Oddworld game some new life on the latest platforms. The classic Oddworld game gets a face lift with 3D rendered environments to enhance its 2.5D gameplay, newly designed levels and rerecorded sounds to give us gamer’s the best Oddworld we’ll ever see. Oddworld Inhabitants announces platforms, title, gameplay features for ‘Abe HD’

San Francisco, USA, 1 October 2012.

Yesterday, Industry veteran and Just Add Water (Developments) Ltd. CEO Stewart Gilray was on stage at Eurogamer Expo 2012 to demonstrate the game. Whilst on stage, Gilray also revealed the full title of the game, after Oddworld Inhabitants ran a competition where fans submitted suggestions. The full name for the remake will be ‘Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee – New ‘n’ Tasty’.

The reimagining of the classic game will feature:
·         fully 3D rendered environments with ‘2.5D’ gameplay;
·         levels redesigned to take advantage of the new engine;
·         rerecorded sounds and voices, including some surprises; and
·         full integration with gaming platforms.

The game will launch on Microsoft’s Xbox Live Arcade and Sony’s PlayStation Network for both PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita, with a Microsoft Windows PC version due later.
