GameHeadz Becomes The Official Gaming Magazine For Child Abuse Prevention.

Today, the GameHeadz magazine is glade to announce a partnership with Zinio Publishing, and ChildHelp.org to support the prevention of Child Abuse. GameHeadz the magazine is the digital counterpart to TheGameHeadz.com a very popular gaming news website. As of today, GameHeadz the digital magazine is donating the proceeds of its Digital Magazine (issue 0101.v21), to support the prevention of child abuse through ChildHelp.org.

A case of child abuse is reported every ten seconds; whether it’s sexual or physical, any abuse done to a child alters their life forever. With gaming being a synergistic blend of technology and art, video games have pushed the limits of many things; hopefully this can blend the medium with the support of children around the world.

“Childhood is a rite of passage we all take on our journey to becoming adults. As a father of two young children, it hits close to home when a child is abused. The recent tragedy with Penn State’s former Head Coach Jerry Sandusky, has rocked college sports, and the world over. Hopefully through our relationship with ChildHelp.org, we can support the wellbeing and protection of children who have been affected by abuse.”  Daniel Brown, Editor GameHeadz the Magazine.

Because of an arrangement with the world’s largest publisher of digital magazines, the GameHeadz now have the ability to offer a great deal of support to the prevention of child abuse. Proceeds for every single issue of GameHeadz – issue 0101.v21 purchased, will go to support Child Help.org through ‘Gamers Against Child Abuse’. A portion of the proceeds for every 12 month subscription will also go to a donation made to ChildHelp.org.

“Gaming has been a target for many tragedies’ among children, and has received some negative press supporting the idea that this form of entertainment is somehow responsible for Childhood abuse, and even the death of some young children. Hopefully, this is the first of many attempts at changing the negative stigma surrounding the industry of gaming, while, treating and reducing the occurrences of children being hurt abuse of any type.” TheGameHeadz.com
