indiePub announces Capsized, its first free-to-play iPad game

You’ll have a hard time getting out from under the frenetic fun of this free action-packed platformer.

CINCINNATI, OHIO (USA) – November 14, 2011 – indiePub, a subsidiary of Zoo Entertainment, Inc.  (NASDAQ CM: ZOOG), is excited to announce that its highly anticipated free-to-play app, Capsized, will be available early January 2012 for iPad.

In Capsized, you play as an intrepid space traveler whose ship has crash landed on a mysterious alien planet.  You must navigate through the beautiful but perilous environment and fight off bloodthirsty creatures to save your crewmates and escape with your lives.

Capsized includes more than a dozen non-linear levels with lush, explorable environments across a story-based Campaign, Death Match, Survival, Time Trials and Armless Fighting modes. Capsized alsofeatures innovative gameplay, a large arsenal of space-age weapons, armor and power ups that will keep players’ fingers glued to their screen for hours.

Capsized‘s robust in-game currency system allows players to make purchases and upgrades to weapons, skills, health and accessories.

“Utilizing Unity, we have worked hard to bring Alientrap’s fast-paced 2D platformer to life on tablet devices,” says Robert Cassidy, indiePub’s director of development. “Capsized will appeal to everyone looking for an engaging action-shooter experience. We paid a lot of attention to make certain this was not just a simple port from PC to tablet but, instead, re-designed and optimized the gameplay and controls for touch-based devices, making Capsized both unforgettable and addictive.”

The iPad version of Alientrap’s Capsized is being developed by Koolhaus Games and will be available early January 2012 for free for iPad via Apples’ iTunes.

Capsized will also be available December 2011 via Xbox LIVE Arcade and Q1 2012 for Android, Macintosh and PlayStation Network.
