That’s right folks just because that other current military first person shooter launched today don’t think you don’t have another choice. The only official Blackwater game also bills itself as the only Kinect FPS on Xbox 360. So if you want a current day FPS and you want to use Kinect your choice is clear, Blackwater is your game, as that other game does not support the Xbox 360 Kinect nor the PlayStation 3 Move for that matter. OFFICIAL BLACKWATER VIDEO GAME SHIPS TO NORTH AMERICAN RETAILERS
Woodland Hills, CA – October 25, 2011 – 505 Games, a global publisher of video games, announced today that Blackwater, an immersive first-person shooter (FPS) exclusive for Kinect™ for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, has shipped to North American retailers. The high-octane game was developed in conjunction with former members of the Blackwater private security team who consulted on moves, gestures and gameplay.

Published by 505 Games, produced by Pantierra and developed by Zombie Studios, Blackwater is titled for the former name of the private security company founded in 1997 by Erik Prince, a former Navy SEAL, to provide training support to military and law enforcement agencies.

The game features more than 25 different Kinect moves as players employ real Blackwater combat tactics to knock down doors, shoot, crouch, throw grenades and use various environments for cover. Featuring officially-licensed weapons, players lead a team of Blackwater operatives as they protect inhabitants of a fictional North African town who are battling a corrupt general in order to restore peace.
