Torchlight 2 is too big for Xbox Live Arcade

Well now, this sucks! Seems like the original Torchlight just barely made it on Xbox Live Arcade. Now with Torchlight 2 being so much larger content wise, there’s no way to make it fit in it’s current form under the memory size restrictions of Xbox Live Arcade. This would normally be the end but CEO Max Schaefer seems to take this as a challenge. While they are busy at work finishing up Torchlight 2 for release on PC and Mac once that’s done they leave the door open to try and I’m sure the drawing board will be full of ideas to get Torchlight 2 back on Xbox 360.

Schaefer also touches on some of the new features in Torchlight 2. They’ve changed the Railman character to The Engineer, there’s going to be a forth player class, co-op mode is going to be about 4 or 8 people, there’s mod tools, and on twitter, RunicGames adds no always online DRM along with LAN support. Sounds like it’s going to be awesome, what does everyone else think?
