Fable Legends Goes F2P Teams Xbox One Up With UE 4

Do you yearn for a great looking free to play title on your Xbox One? Fable Legends hopes to fill that void in your life with the marriage of free to play, Xbox One, Unreal Engine 4 and of course the Fable series. Thankfully you won’t have to go it alone in Fable Legends as you’ll be able to take three of your friends with you on the adventures that you find littered around the fantasy land of Albion. Lionhead is also tapping into the new hotness that is asymmetrical multiplayer and letting a single soul play the evil villain throwing monsters, traps and and other hazards at the heroic players while out on their quest for glory.

Lionhead has also mentioned the ability to use Microsoft SmartGlass in unique ways depending on if you are a villain or a hero character. As a hero you’ll be able to track your progress, get more information about quests, fellow Heroes and other content. While playing as the villain you’ll be able to actually play the game via a tablet while another person plays as the hero on the same Xbox One. This is actually a feature I would like to see for myself, basically Microsoft is taking a play out of the Nintendo Wii U playbook. Much better than the days of old when we would have to split the screen and then basically give away all of our dastardly plans to our couch buddies. Fable Legends is currently listed as TBA but there are a ton of screenshots and art from the game below, showing off Unreal Engine 4’s graphical prowess on the Xbox One.
