Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare Finally Sprouts On PC

Well it’s taken some extra watering, plant food and maybe a snail or two but PC players are finally going to get their chance to play Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warefare. The game is set to be freshly packaged and delivered fully nurtured come June 24th 2014 at both digital and retail for North America and June 27th 2014 for the UK.

Taking a cue from Plants vs Zombies 2 there’s in-app purchases like Booster Packs and in-game coins, yuck. If you pony up some extra money for the digital deluxe version of the game you’ll start with 2 booster packs and 80,000 in game coins, yes, 80,000. Can’t say that amount of coins leaves a great taste in our mouth, I wonder how many coins will be on the Best Value pop-up.

Hopefully the amount of coins you get during regular 8 vs 8 Gnome Bomb and 12 vs 12 Gardens and Graveyards gameplay will offset the need to buy coins with a steady flow instead of the usual drip feed. I guess we’ll find out soon enough, Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare sure looks good running on the Frostbite 3 engine, so there’s that!
