Minecraft is known for taking the digital distribution world by storm. Now the Xbox 360 version will head into Retail where unsuspecting people can pick up the do anything with your blocky life simulator. Minecraft Retail will also include the weirdest free subscription to Xbox Live Gold I think I’ve ever heard, 48 hours. You better grab that content quick Billy, you only have 48 hours until Microsoft cuts you off!
Do you think maybe, just maybe they could have cut Mojang some slack? I mean Minecraft is a game that sold millions on pretty much word of mouth and YouTube Let’s Play’s. You would think the house that Bill built would want to do anything it could to court these mavericks of the digital seas. But noooooooooo! All you get is 48 hours to grab yourself some content updates and then See Ya! Hope you grabbed the credit card before you picked up the controller on day 3. So if you need yourself a retail copy of Minecraft on your Xbox 360 go ahead and pick one up on June 28th 2013, just be sure you have some real gold to buy more Xbox Live Gold.
