Sublevel Zero (PC) Gives You 6 Degrees Of Descent, Coming Oct 8th 2015

Old school gamers may remember Descent, it’s the first time many of us remember the ability to fly anywhere and everywhere in 3D, it’s also the first time many gamers found out all the cool kids puke on their keyboard from motion sickness. Sublevel Zero from Sigtrap is coming in 2015 to rekindle that old Descent feeling. The developers are keen to point out that they are looking to take Sublevel Zero into a whole new direction with some procedural generation. That means every-time you play Sublevel Zero you’ll never know what the hell is around that corner, hell you won’t even know there is a corner until you get to it. The feeling of dread is you explore the depths of the unknown with your itchy trigger finger just waiting for some enemy to show up are AWESOME, we can’t wait to see what they show us next.

Sublevel Zero is coming October 8th 2015 to PC and Mac with a Linux build shortly after via Steam. Then in 2016 the game will be rolling out for consoles and getting some kickass VR support. Hopefully by then Oculus will have figured out how to attach a barf bag to the Oculus Rift without making us look like a feeding horse because that’s when a whole new generation of gamers are going to be loosing their cookies all over the place. Nothing worse then throwing up while not being able to see what you’re throwing up on!

London – 21st September, 2015 – Indie developer Sigtrap and independent games publisher Mastertronic are excited to announce 6DoF shooter Sublevel Zero is blasting its way to PC and Mac this October!

Sublevel Zero is a first-person, six-degree-of-freedom roguelike shooter set in a universe where reality is falling apart. Take the helms of a lone gunship and prepare to navigate your way through a dizzying labyrinth of procedurally-generated 3D levels, puzzles and raging enemies to source valuable ancient artefacts. Descend into a vast underground facility in your mission to loot and craft ancient technology which holds the key to your clan’s survival!

Exterminate enemy fighters, annihilate surface foes and wipe out menacing turrets- you never know what’s lurking around the corner! Fly and rotate in every direction while attacking from all angles. The emphasis is on survival and ammunition is scarce so you will need to strengthen your tactics, adaptability and skill in order to survive enemy encounters. Make every shot count, as there are no saves!

Sublevel Zero will be launching on 8th October for Windows PC and Mac, with Linux coming shortly after. Console formats and Oculus support coming 2016. Sublevel Zero will be playable in the Rezzed area at EGX at the Birmingham NEC this week.
