Armored Warfare (PC) Boasts 500,000 Metal Heads Who Want Into The Beta

Obsidian Entertainment is pretty happy with it’s Armored Warfare MMO and it’s yet to be in beta. The company is boasting that the beta sign-up alone has swelled to 500,000 entries, that’s a damn fine number indeed. Armored Warfare is said to have dynamic destructible environments along with the customization vehicles which we all love, no word of if we can outfit our tanks with hats, kilts or other pieces of useless flair.

If you’re asking yourself just how come Armored Warfare looks so damn good with shit blowing up all over the place, dust coating your eyes and debris flying at your face from all angles. Well that would be thanks to the use of the CryEngine 3 in Armored Warfare. There’s also going to be PvP combat and Co-op missions so it seems like Obsidian is really running the gamut of multiplayer options with this one. You can still sign up if you want to be one of the early few over at http://go.aw.my.com/500K_Regs

To celebrate this milestone, the team has released an all-new video where players can get a look into Armored Warfare’s modern battlefield, PvP combat , co-op missions and deep customization options.

Players who haven’t yet signed up can do so now at http://aw.my.com/us/.

In Armored Warfare, players will take on the role of private military contractors who are called into action throughout a modern virtual world. Overseeing their own personal command base, players will expand, enhance, and customize their headquarters, manage and upgrade their military convoy of vehicles, and train and develop their crews through a robust reputation and experience system. Dynamic environments in Armored Warfare require players to change strategies on the battlefield at a moment’s notice keeping them ever vigilant to the tides of battle.

A variety of team-based tactical and competitive gameplay modes in Armored Warfare will not only test the mettle of players in PvP, but will have them pulling together group strategies in order to overcome grueling player-versus-environment (PvE) scenarios. Players will also be able to join Clans and participate in large scale Territory Wars in the power struggle for world domination. Armored Warfare will continue to be updated and supported for years to come with new weapons, vehicles, base elements, and battle modes.
