Crossing Souls (PC) Bringing More Neon Drenched Synth To You

Devolver Digital is once again bringing you another game with a retro future neon drenched synth soundtrack with Crossing Souls. The trailer even features bad vhs tracking effects to complete the 1980’s nostalgia so double bonus points go to developer Fourattic. Crossing Souls takes place in California in the year 1986 when a group of friends find an interesting artifact and it changes their lives forever. Sounds like the plot of an awesome 80’s movie, hell they should make this into a movie and release it on VHS if you ask me.

There’s going to be dark secrets, a conspiracy or two, the U.S. Army is going to get involved all the while adventures, mishaps, discoveries and lessons will be learned by the characters throughout the game. Fourattic is also saying there will be hundreds of NPCs from different times, I hope that’s a Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure reference. The artifact in the game will give the players access to the world of both the living and the dead and using both planes players will have to solve puzzles and of course the mystery of just what the hell is going on. Also why does the U.S. Army always show up in the 80’s to ruin all the fun? Six kids took out Dracula, Frankenstein’s Monster, The Mummy, The Wolfman and The Creature from the Black Lagoon and then the U.S. Army showed up to mop up in Monster Squad. Hopefully you’ll also be one step ahead of the U.S. Army in Crossing Souls, there’s no telling what weird alternate future would happen if they had access to the kind of power that the Duat Stone would grant them. I can’t wait for Crossing Souls to be released and I can’t wait to grab that soundtrack as well, Retro Future Forever! Shout out to the guys posting in /r/Outrun they always post the most epic of driving songs.
