PRESS RELEASE

Diesel Fantasy Action in Ravensdale: Dieselstormers about to hit Kickstarter

BLACK FOREST GAMES STARTS CROWDFUNDING CAMPAIGN FOR MULTIPLAYER INDIE GAME

Offenburg (Germany), 24th of April 2014 – Following up the great success of the award-winning jump’n’run Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams, German indie games developer Black Forest Games is about to begin a new Kickstarter campaign. Next week, on April 29th, the action platformer DIESELSTORMERS will hit Kickstarter. The game is picking up where ‘Project Ravensdale’ left off. Ravensdale was presented last year on the crowdfunding platform, but didn’t reach the pledge goal. Now Black Forest Games provides interested players with a working prototype, which will be available for free when the Kickstarter campaign begins. People can download the file on Kickstarter or directly at www.black-forest-games.com and try out single and multiplayer missions. This gives users early access into the development process, which is currently focused on internal testing of game mechanics, settings and technological aspects.

In Dieselstormers players explore the medieval city of Ravensdale – a place where armor is powered by roaring engines, princesses wield wrenches in oil-stained overalls, and not a single dragon dares to brave the smog-filled sky. That doesn’t mean all is well. The inhabitants of Ravensdale must take their city back from a rampaging ork horde. Players will be able to assemble their own weapons by adding and exchanging parts and modify them for their specific needs.

Dieselstormers is the first real multiplayer game by Black Forest Games. Missions and levels are designed for 1 to 4 players while some quests require a high level of teamwork, tactics and strategic skill. Players explore a wide range of different settings where they fight evil bosses and strong monsters in explosive battles utilizing their customized weapons.

“We are back! Dieselstormers combines our experience from two Kickstarter campaigns, and it will become a unique, original game; actually, we’ve never done a game quite like it. We put everything into this project: the skills of our developers and designers and, of course, much blood, sweat and tears,” says Adrian Goersch, Co-Founder of Black Forest Games. “And we have not come back empty-handed. We are going to launch the Kickstarter campaign backed by an early prototype of Dieselstormers, which will give interested players a first impression of the final product.”
