Dig It, SteamWorld Dig Goes Cross-Buy On PS4 And PS Vita, Sucka

The genre blasting SteamWorld Dig, which is described as a platforming mining adventure game that takes place in a Steampunk Westworld with robots has bounced from Nintendo 3DS to PC and has now landing itself pickaxe in hand on the PlayStation 4 and PS Vita. The game launches today in North America and on March 19th 2014 in Europe for $9.99/€8.99.

However if you happen to be a PlayStation Plus member you’ll enjoy a 20% discount off the price of SteamWorld Dig for the first week. Developer Image and Form even took it a step further and like all awesome developers have made SteamWorld Dig cross-buy between PlayStation 4 and PS Vita. Congratulations Vita and PS4 gamers!

Today marks a milestone in the history of Image & Form; The first release ever on a home console! We are proud to announce the release of SteamWorld Dig on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. It will launch TODAY in the Americas and tomorrow (March 19) in Europe at the price of $9.99 in the US and 8.99€ in the EU. The game will be featured in Sony’s Spring Fever promotion on PSN with a 20% discount to PlayStation Plus members for the first week.

SteamWorld Dig will have support for multiple language as well as a cross-buy feature for PS4 and Vita allowing SteamWorld Dig  to be played on both consoles. Branded as a “platform mining adventure” in a steampunk/western setting, SteamWorld Dig lets the player take the role of the Eastwood-esque robot protagonist Rusty in order to save a mining town in need. The plot thickens as he digs deeper into an underground full of treasure and terror…
